Angolan economic plan forecasts 3 pct GDP growth for 5 years

The latest Angolan National Development Plan envisages Angolan gross domestic product growing at an average annual rate of 3 percent between this year and 2022, Angop reports.

The Angolan news agency quotes the government document as saying industries other than the oil business will drive the growth – industries such as farming, fishing, manufacturing, construction and tourism.

The plan forecasts that the annual rate of consumer price inflation will be slower this year than last year, Angop says.

The document was presented by Pedro Luís da Fonseca, Angolan Minister of Economy and Planning, last Saturday to the members of the Angolan ruling party MPLA in Luanda, the report said.
