The Confucius Institute at Agostinho Neto University in Angola has formally announced the publication of Chinese translations of six Angolan novels, Jornal de Chinês reports.
The Chinese-language Angolan newspaper says Angolan Literature Press published one translation – the first such translation published by an Angolan publisher – and that Chinese publishers published the rest.
Cultural co-operation is of paramount importance to Sino-Angolan friendship and mutual understanding, Jornal de Chinês quotes a Chinese diplomat in Luanda, Li Bin, as saying at the announcement ceremony.
