A Mozambican official has said China will contribute to a revamp of the Maputo International Fair, Jornal Notícias reports.
The Mozambican newspaper quotes the general manager of the Mozambican trade and investment promotion agency, Lourenço Sambo, as saying: “Abroad, we have one partner, China, that is interested in moving forward with us – and another in Portugal.”
Mr Sambo said new exhibition facilities would be built in Ricatla, in the Marracuene district just outside Maputo, which would be suitable for the Maputo International Fair and all sorts of other events.
The 2018 fair will begin in two weeks and end on September 2, Jornal Notícias says.
