Call made for more dealings between Chinese, lusophone media

An official of the Chinese State Administration of Radio and Television, Yan Chengsheng, has called for more exchanges between the media in China and the media in the Portuguese-speaking Countries, Angolan news agency Angop reports.

The Angolan news agency quotes Mr Yan as making the call at a seminar in Beijing for journalists from Angola, Brazil, Guinea Bissau, Mozambique, and São Tomé and Príncipe.

Mr Yan said China wishes to have films and television series about Chinese culture, including documentaries, shown in the Portuguese-speaking Countries.

The seminar was part of a 20-day course on the development of the Chinese media being attended by 22 journalists from 5 of the Portuguese-speaking Countries, Angop says.
