Economic ties between China, Portuguese-speaking world studied

Macao University of Science and Technology (MUST) and the Chinese Academy of International Trade and Economic Co-operation, an arm of the Ministry of Commerce, will publish next September a document on research into economic co-operation by China and the Portuguese-speaking Countries, the China News Service reports.

The Chinese news agency says the document will be the first of its kind, and will be published annually.

The report quotes MUST Institute for Social and Cultural Research Director Lin Guangzhi, as saying 25 academics in Macao and Mainland China are contributing to the document.

The China News Service quotes Mr Lin as saying the document is being compiled because there is insufficient academic research on the subject.
