Chinese Ambassador to Portugal Cai Run has announced that the cumulative value of Chinese investment in Portugal now exceeds €9 billion (US$10.44 billion), the Chinese Embassy in Lisbon says.
The embassy issued a written statement quoting Mr Cai as saying at the 4th Portugal-China Gala that China and Portugal have begun practical and comprehensive co-operation in commerce and investment, energy, infrastructure, finance, maritime endeavours, tourism, culture, education and technology.
Portuguese investment in China has been growing steadily, and the Chinese market welcomes more Portuguese companies and Portuguese products, the embassy quotes Mr Cai as saying.
