Chinese lending to Angola engenders US$30 bln worth of business

Chinese Ambassador to Angola Cui Aimin says Chinese and Angolan companies have entered into contracts together worth US$30 billion that were facilitated by Chinese lending in the past five years.

Mr Cui, in an opinion article published in Jornal de Angola, says the agreements cover endeavours in various areas, including housing, airports, ports, roads and electricity.

“Investment by Chinese companies in Angola is on the rise, and has good prospects,” the ambassador says in the article.

China is a sincere friend and trusted partner of Angola in its development, and is ready to co-operate more with Angola in many fields to help the Angolan economy diversify more quickly, Mr Cui says.
