Luanda-Guangdong Business Park under construction in Angola

The southern Chinese province of Guangdong is helping build a 2,000-hectare special economic zone in Luanda, Lusa reports.

The Portuguese news agency quotes Angola Business Confederation President Francisco Viana as saying the zone will be called the Luanda-Guangdong Business Park, and that companies in the capital of Guangdong, Guangzhou, can set themselves up in business in the park.

Mr Viana, speaking in Macao at the Macau International Fair, said construction work had begun and that over 20 companies had proposed to invest in the park, according to Lusa.
