Products of lusophone world promoted in Shenyang

The Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) says it arranged a three-day meeting in the northeastern Chinese city of Shenyang which brought together businesspeople from the surrounding province of Liaoning to hear their counterparts from the Portuguese-speaking Countries promote the products of the lusophone world.

A written statement issued by IPIM says about 200 businesspeople, politicians, academics and experts in various fields attended the event, held last weekend.

The statement quotes IPIM President Jackson Chang as saying at the opening ceremony that Shenyang is an important economic hub which can use Macau as a bridge to the Portuguese-speaking Countries.

Macau businesspeople and over 100 managers of supermarkets in Liaoning attended two business-matching sessions and signed at least 10 deals, IPIM says.
