Trade credit insurance scheme to build ties with Portuguese-speaking Countries

The government of Macao plans to establish a system for trade credit insurance, a move designed to project the city’s role in promoting co-operation between companies in Macao, Mainland China and the Portuguese-speaking Countries.

The Secretary for Economy and Finance Leong Vai Tac says Beijing supports the strategy.

In an official announcement, Mr Leong says the government is seeking underwriting companies or institutions as partners. The government has received a positive response to its enquiries.
