China remains top buyer of Angolan exports in Q1

China was again the main market for Angolan exports in the first quarter of this year, accounting for 62.6 percent of their value, Xinhua reports.

The Chinese state-run news agency, citing Angolan National Statistics Institute data, says the value of Angolan exports to China rose to US$5.04 billion in the first quarter, 97 percent more than a year earlier.

The report says Angolan exports to all parts of the world increased by 56.2 percent.

Angolan imports from China decreased by almost 20 percent, while its imports from all parts of the world increased by 7.8 percent, Xinhua says, without giving the value of either.
