Portuguese Secretary of State covers range of topics on Sao Tome and Principe tour

Portugal’s Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Teresa Ribeiro, has held several meetings on her visit to Sao Tome and Principe.

Ms Ribeiro says there are no obstacles to the implementation of the Strategic Cooperation Program, signed last year.

“We went through all sectors of our bilateral cooperation, from justice to education, through health, social affairs, investment and trade issues,” said Ms Ribeiro, after a one-hour meeting with Prime Minister Patrice Trovoada.

“We have had the opportunity to see where can we make adjustments, improvements to have more dynamism, that will enable us to achieve the targets and results that we all want with this very fruitful partnership.”

Ms Ribeiro also held meetings on education, justice and the economy, Lusa reports.
