Angola plans 1,000-bus purchase from China to boost transport network

Angola will acquire 1,000 new buses from the mainland by the middle of next year in an effort to improve its public transport network, Angop reports.

The news agency quoted Transport Minister Augusto da Silva Tomás during a tour of the Angolan province of Zaire. The buses would be bought using credit extended by the mainland, he said.

The report says the first buses should arrive before the end of this year.
