Mainland signs public security co-operation agreement with Mozambique

China and Mozambique have signed a co-operation deal to strengthen the fight against transnational crime, Notícias reports.

The Mozambican newspaper says the country’s Interior Minister, Jaime Monteiro, and Chinese Public Security Minister Guo Shengkun signed the agreement in Beijing earlier this week.

The agreement covers action against drug trafficking, more staff training, equipment supplies and channels to share more information.

Mr Monteiro began an official visit to the mainland last weekend.
