China’s Huawei offers 10 young Angolans IT training

Ten young Angolans are being given the chance to receive information technology industry training in Shenzhen, China, thanks to an initiative of China’s Huawei Technologies, news agency ANGOP reported.

The seven-day training programme, co-organised by Huawei and the Angolan Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Technology, started on Friday.

Guo Tianmin, Vice President of Huawei, said in a ceremony on Thursday that the company had regularly invited talented young people from different countries to visit China, receive training and learn more about Chinese culture and language.

The training of 10 young Angolans in China “demonstrates once again how close the two countries are,” he said.

Mr Guo also highlighted the importance of information technology in the management of government and the economic development of a nation.
