Angolan tourism minister calls for development and co-operation from private sector

Angola’s Minister of Hotel and Tourism, Mr Paulino Baptista, wants more co-operation from tourism operators and associations eager to see development in the nation’s tourism sector, Angop reports.

The Angolan news agency quotes Mr Baptista as saying easier access to visas and more domestic tourism would create jobs and increase government revenue.

Mr Baptista was speaking at the 9th Consultative Council of the Ministry of Hotel and Tourism. The event is exploring “the role of tourism in the diversification of the economy”.
