Conference discusses the innovation economy in China, Brazil

The fifth Brazil-China Innovation Dialogue in Rio de Janeiro has been discussing this week the challenges posed by the digital and innovation economy in China and Brazil, and policies on investment in infrastructure in Latin America, the conference programme says.

The joint organisers of the conference are the Institute for Brazil-China Studies, the Alexandre de Gusmão Foundation and the Brazilian Centre for International Relations.

The programme says the conference is meant to be the basis for continuous exchanges among policymakers, researchers and companies interested in investing in and fostering innovation.

The speakers include representatives of the organisers, the Chinese Embassy in Brasilia, the Brazilian government and academic institutions such as Tsinghua University in China.

The two-day conference ends today, the programme says.
