Nam Kwong in deal to sell Portuguese wine in Mainland China

Nam Kwong Group, a Chinese state-owned enterprise in Macao, and Falua Sociedade de Vinhos SA of Portugal have done a deal to introduce superior Portuguese red wines to the Mainland Chinese market, Macao Daily News reports.

The newspaper says representatives of the companies signed the deal this week at the China International Import Expo in Shanghai.

The report quotes a Nam Kwong spokesman as saying the company has experience and advantages that help it forge new economic links between China and the Portuguese-speaking Countries, and that it has long been on close terms with many companies in those countries.

Falua Sociedade is a well-known wine company, exporting Portuguese wines to the rest of Europe, Australia and Asia, the Macao Daily News says.
