Sino-African arts society to open branch in Angola

The newly established Africa China Culture and Arts Exchange Society intends to open branch offices in Beijing and Angola to increase exchanges in the fields of culture and education, Xinhua reports.

The Chinese government-run news agency says the society also means to have offices in Nigeria, South Africa, Tanzania and Zambia.

The report says the society was inaugurated this week in Botswana capital Gaborone, and that Chinese businessman Miles Nan became the executive president.

The society aims to help African artists shine on the international stage, Xinhua quotes Mr Nan as saying.
