Cape Verde imports grow, exports shrink last year

The annual value of Cape Verdean imports increased by 10.5 percent last year, A Semana reports.

The Cape Verdean newspaper, citing National Institute of Statistics data, says imports from Portugal accounted for 46.5 percent of the value, and that the Mainland, Spain, the Netherlands and the United States were other big sources of imports.

The annual value of Cape Verdean exports decreased by 10.2 percent last year.

The report does not identify the value of imports or exports.

Exports to Spain accounted for 72.4 percent the value, A Semana says.
