Beijing outlines potential interests in Angola’s Lunda Sul province

Mainland enterprises could invest in agriculture, manufacturing, fisheries and forestry in the Angolan province of Lunda Sul, the Angop news agency reports.

The report says Ambassador Cui Aimin met Cândida Narciso, governor of the province, this week and a discussion of future areas of co-operation took place.

Mr Cui reportedly said both parties had reviewed a co-operation protocol that included these industries.

Ms Narciso was quoted as saying the province was open to investments in many areas, including tourism and hotels. She wants some of the projects in place later this year to help facilitate the province’s development, the report says.
