Mainland China will strengthen co-operation with Angola in several fields, including investment, the sciences and technology, Angop reported on Friday.
The Angolan news agency quoted Ambassador to Angola Cui Aimin at an annual briefing for the media in Luanda.
“We will encourage even more Chinese companies to invest in Angola and participate in the process of economic diversification,” Mr Cui was reported as saying.
Both countries would also expand exchange and co-operation in science and technology, health, and culture to forge multi-level, high-quality bilateral relations, he said.
Chinese funding is providing credit for several infrastructure projects in Angola, including a Chinese agricultural technology demonstration centre and the Vocational Training Integrated Centre in Huambo province.
