Sino-Angolan visa arrangement put into action

An arrangement that makes it easier for Chinese to visit Angola has come into effect, O País reports.

The Angolan newspaper says Angolan President João Lourenço has issued a decree putting into effect an agreement signed in Luanda in January by Angolan Foreign Minister Manuel Augusto and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.

The report says the agreement allows Chinese to obtain visas valid for 36 months that let them enter Angola again and again and stay for up to 90 days in any six months.

The visas are meant for visitors with academic, scientific or technological business to conduct, and for patients seeking medical attention.

The Sino-Angolan agreement lasts for five years but may be renewed, O País says.
