Envoy sanguine about Sino-Brazilian trade

Chinese Ambassador to Brazil Li Jinzhang has predicted that the amount of Sino-Brazilian trade in agricultural products and other goods will reach new levels as trade wars are fought elsewhere in the world, Reuters reports.

The news agency quotes Mr Li as telling a conference in the Brazilian industrial city of São Paulo that China and Brazil should take advantage of multilateral arrangements such as the World Trade Organisation trade regime to strengthen their commercial ties.

The ambassador told the conference that long-lasting relationships between countries must be based on trust, Reuters says.
