BRICS agree to work together in civil aviation matters

Representatives of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa (BRICS) will sign next week an agreement to co-operate in the field of civil aviation, the Deccan Herald reports.

The Indian newspaper says the agreement will be signed on the sidelines of the BRICS summit meeting in the South African city of Johannesburg from July 25 to 27.

The report says the agreement is meant to increase co-operation between the BRICS countries in airport infrastructure management, aeronautical navigation services, civil aviation regulation and the environmental sustainability of civil aviation.
