Chinese, Brazilian journalist groups agree to swap news

Chinese and Brazilian journalist associations have struck an agreement to exchange news about the Chinese Belt and Road initiative, Xinhua reports.

The Chinese state-run news agency says the agreement was signed in Brasília by All-China Journalists Association Secretary Zhang Baixin and Brazilian National Federation of Journalists President Maria José Braga.

The report says the agreement will increase the sharing of news by Chinese and Brazilian news media, and enhance communication between them.

The parties to the agreement will jointly arrange seminars and training sessions for journalists, jointly conduct interviews and jointly present awards, Xinhua says.
