Cabo Verde Minister of Culture and Creative Industries Abraão Vicente will ask China for money so his government can ensure every municipality in the country has an auditorium for cultural events, Inforpress reports.
The Cabo Verde state-run news agency says the government hopes to achieve this by refurbishing old auditoriums or building new ones.
The report says financing for the project may form part of a Sino-Cabo Verde agreement on co-operation in cultural matters, which Mr Vicente is to discuss with Chinese officials.
The minister is in Beijing to attend the three-day China-Africa Media Co-operation Forum, which ends today.
