Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi to visit Portugal this week ahead of G20 meet

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi will visit Portugal on Friday and Saturday, the Chinese government-run news agency Xinhua reports.

The news agency report says Mr Wang’s the Portugal visit is stop is this he third scheduled ahead of Mr Wang attending the Group of 20 (G20) ministerial meeting in Argentina, from May 16-24. Mr Wang Twill also visit France and Spain.

Aa member of China’s State Council, –a cabinet-level decision-making body, – Mr Wang was invited to Lisbon by Portuguese Foreign Minister Augusto Santos Silva. The Portuguese news agency Lusa says Mr Santos Silva plans to visit China “probably in late October” this year.
