Cabo Verde to invite bids in July for cruise terminal contract

The Government of Cabo Verde will put out to public tender in July the contract to build a terminal for cruise ships in Mindelo in São Vicente, Inforpress reports.

The Cabo Verde news agency quotes Cabo Verde Minister of Tourism, Transport and the Maritime Economy José Gonçalves as saying so.

The report says the terminal will have two berths, each between 300 metres and 400 metres long, and a village for tourists containing shops, restaurants, bars and small museums.

The Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries Fund for International Development will contribute 29 million de euros (US$34.78 million) toward the cost of the project, Inforpress says.
