Macao, São Tomé and Príncipe reach tourism agreement

Representatives of the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) and the São Tomé and Príncipe Ministry of Finance, Commerce and the Blue Economy have signed in Macao an agreement to cooperate in the field of tourism, the MGTO has announced.

The MGTO issued a written statement saying the agreement is meant to increase exchanges of information on making tourism policy and putting it into action, and on experiences of tourism planning, management and certification.

The agreement is also meant to lead to training of technical staff and to spur the formation of partnerships between small and medium enterprises in the tourism business in Macao and in São Tomé and Príncipe.

The MGTO says it now has cooperation agreements with tourism bodies in six of the Portuguese-speaking Countries.
