Chinese delegation to meet Portugal’s Minister of Agriculture

A delegation from China is due to meet on Wednesday Portugal’s Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development, Luís Capoulas Santos, online news portal AgroNegócios reported.

According to the media outlet, the Chinese delegation is visiting the European nation in order to explore new markets.

In addition to the meeting, the Portuguese Minister is due to join the Chinese delegation in visits to several Portuguese entities that are in either the agricultural or food production sector.

The programme includes visits to meat producer Sicasal, fruit farm operator Quinta do Arneiro and fruit and vegetable producer and trader Grupo Luís Vicente.
