Chinese Ambassador calls on Angola to draft policies to facilitate investment

China’s Ambassador to Angola wants the Southern African nation to create policies to facilite investment and cooperation.

The comments by Ambassador Cui Aimin were made last week as he met Angola’s Minister of Economy and Planning Pedro Luís da Fonseca, the Chinese Embassy said.

China could cooperate with Angola in areas such as investment and finance, trade, agriculture and manufacturing, Mr Cui was quoted as saying. Both nations should work on upgrading and enhancing the efficiency of their economic ties, he added.

Mr Fonseca was reported as saying Angola could learn from China about opening its market and that Luanda welcomed more Chinese investments to assist in economic diversification.
