Portuguese, Macao consumer watchdogs set to agree to co-operate

The Macao Consumer Council and the Portuguese Association for Consumer Protection are expected to conclude by the end of September an accord on dealing with complaints by Portuguese consumers about goods and services they buy in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the Macao Daily News reports.

The newspaper says representatives of consumer protection bodies agreed in Macao last week to make the Macao Consumer Council the go-between in dealing with such complaints.

An accord on the final arrangement has been drafted, the Macao Daily News quotes Macao Consumer Council Executive Committee President Wong Hon Neng as saying.
