Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd Sales Director Tiago Flores says sales of smartphones made by the Chinese company were the fastest-growing of any brand in Portugal last year, Pu Hua Bao reports.
The Chinese-language newspaper published in Portugal quotes Mr Flores as saying so at an event to introduce the Huawei P20 Pro smartphone in Portugal.
The report gives no sales figures.
The executive said Huawei had over one-fifth of the Portuguese market for smartphones last year.
Huawei opened two shops in Portugal last year, in Lisbon and the northern city of Oporto, where prospective buyers can try out new products made by the company, and where owners can have their devices serviced, Pu Hua Bao quotes Mr Flores as saying.
