The economy of Cape Verde is expected to grow by between 3.5 and 4.5 percent this year, the Government has predicted.
The Cape Verdean Government announced the projection last week in its State Budget proposal for 2016. In a statement it said the forecast had taken into consideration “foreign investment, the rise in productivity and the trust of the participants in the economy”.
According to the press release, the Government also estimated the country’s inflation should vary between 0.2 and 1.2 percent in 2016.
The Cape Verdean Government has approved a 60-billion escudos (US$599-million) state budget proposal for this year.
