Course on Chinese traditional medicine taught in Cabo Verde

The operator of the Guangdong-Macao Traditional Chinese Medicine Technology Industrial Park says it put on last month its first course in Cabo Verde for the training of practitioners of Chinese traditional medicine.

The operator issued a written statement saying 27 doctors or therapists working at government hospitals in Cabo Verde attended the course, along with some health officials from Angola and Guinea-Bissau.

The course is a result of an agreement by the park operator and the Cabo Verdean Ministry of Health to cooperate, which was struck in May.

The park is a joint endeavour by the authorities in Macau and the neighbouring Chinese province of Guangdong, and the operator says in its statement that it hopes to spread the practice of Chinese traditional medicine around the Portuguese-speaking world.
