China, Portuguese-speaking Countries trade tops US$8.2 bln in Jan 2017

Trade between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries topped US$8.219 billion in the first month of 2017, an increase of 33.47 percent from a year earlier and a 7.52-percent increase from the previous month, according to data from China Customs.

In January, the value of China’s imports from Portuguese-speaking Countries reached US$5.263 billion, up by 38.26 percent year-on-year and 11.03 percent sequentially.

China sold goods worth US$2.956 billion to Portuguese-speaking Countries, a rise of 25.71 percent from the prior-year period and a 1.80-percent increase from the previous month.
