Macao poly enrols 130 students from lusophone world

The Macao Polytechnic Institute (MPI) has 130 students from the Portuguese-speaking Countries on its roll in this academic year, the Macao Daily News reports.

The newspaper says the institute has lusophone students from Angola, Brazil, Cabo Verde, Mozambique, Portugal, and São Tomé and Príncipe.

The report says over 60 of them are studying Chinese, and the rest taking subjects such as translation, gaming management, public administration and computer science.

It says MPI offers foreign lusophone students scholarships and pairing arrangements for studying Chinese in Macao.

The MPI Chinese language education programme is the programme of choice for foreign lusophone students wishing to study Chinese in Macao, the Macao Daily News says.
