Chinese Ambassador to São Tomé e Príncipe Wang Wei says China would like to encourage entrepreneurship among young people in São Tomé e Príncipe, STP-Press reports.
The São Tomé e Príncipe government-run news agency quotes Mr Wang as saying after meeting São Tomé e Príncipe Youth, Sports and Entrepreneurship Minister Vinícius Pina that he would also like to promote exchanges between the peoples of China and São Tomé e Príncipe, and to increase engagement between his home country and his host country in the field of sport.
The report quotes Mr Wang as saying: “We exchanged views on the three cornerstones of the ministry, planning for future co-operation”.
He said he told Mr Pina that he would do his best to arrange for such co-operation.
The newly elected São Tomé e Príncipe government took office this month, STP-Press says.
China and São Tomé e Príncipe resumed diplomatic relations in 2016.
