Angolan diplomatic academy project ahead of schedule

Angolan Foreign Minister Manuel Augusto has said the Chinese-financed diplomatic academy being built in the Angolan city of Kilamba will be completed this year and ready to open six months earlier than scheduled, Jornal de Angola reports.

The Angolan newspaper quotes Mr Augusto as saying so after visiting the construction site.

The report says the  diplomatic academy will have eight buildings for academic use, and halls of residence for the teachers and students.

Mr Augusto emphasised that a gift of US$16 million from China made construction of the academy possible, Jornal de Angola says.
