Angolan businesspeople visiting Shanghai

A party of Angolans led by Angola-China Chamber of Commerce President Arnaldo Calado is visiting Shanghai for meetings with Chinese businesspeople, Jornal de Angola reports.

The newspaper says the programme for the visit includes two conferences at Chinese universities.

The report says the visitors have already attended a Sino-African business forum, which was an offshoot of the Sino-African summit meeting in Beijing last week.

It quotes a director of the Chinese subsidiary of Siemens AG of Germany, Carsten Hasbach, as saying his company is interested in power generation projects in Angola.

Angola has much potential to attract investment in its infrastructure, Jornal de Angola quotes a consultant to RsA Asia of China, Lorenzo Ricciardi, as saying.
