Angola 2nd-biggest source of Chinese oil imports in January

Official figures indicate that Angola was the second-biggest supplier of crude oil to China last month, shipping crude there at the rate of 1.1 million barrels per day (bpd), Reuters reports.

The news agency, citing data compiled by the Chinese customs service, says the rate of shipment last month was 5.4 percent slower than a year earlier.

Russia remained the biggest supplier of oil to China last month, shipping crude at the rate of 1.34 million bpd, and Iraq was the third-biggest supplier, shipping crude at the rate of 1.05 million bpd, Reuters says.

China imported crude from all sources at the rate of 9.57 million bpd last month, 20 percent faster than a year earlier.
