Angola 3rd-biggest source of Chinese oil imports in April

Official figures indicate that Angola was the 3rd-biggest supplier of crude oil to China in April, accounting for 11 percent of Chinese imports of oil, Lusa reports.

The Portuguese news agency, citing data compiled by the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries, says Russia remained the biggest supplier of oil to China in April, accounting for 15 per cent of Chinese imports, and Saudi Arabia was the 2nd-biggest, accounting for 12 percent.

Last month Angola increased its crude oil output by 14,000 barrels per day to 1.5 million bpd, on average, making it the 2nd-biggest African producer of oil in May, Nigeria being the biggest, Lusa says.
