Angola remains China’s No.2 ranked oil supplier last month

Angola was the second biggest supplier of crude oil to China last month, behind only Russia, according to data published by the General Administration of Customs on Monday.

The Reuters news agency reports that Angola shipped 1 million barrels per day to China, which represented a 10.6-percent increase over the same time last year.

Angola was also the second-biggest oil supplier for the first half of the year, shipping 22 percent more than the same period last year. China took an average of 1.09 million barrels per day of Angolan exports in the first half.

Brazil was the China’s fifth-biggest oil supplier in June with shipments surging to 689,969 barrels per day, a 118-percent increase in year-on-year terms.
