Angolan bank to open office in Macao

Banco Sol Chairman Coutinho Nobre Miguel has said the Angolan bank is opening a representative office in Macao to facilitate the development of Angolan companies, Jornal de Angola reports.

The newspaper quotes Mr Miguel as saying the office will serve as an intermediary for Chinese investors in Angola and attract Greater Chinese financing for Angolan small and medium enterprises.

Mr Miguel said of Angolan enterprises: “Starting this year, Banco Sol will be in China to ensure and help with the globalisation and internationalisation of companies.”

Banco Sol will also open offices in Namibia and Portugal, Jornal de Angola quotes Mr Miguel as saying.
