Ten Chinese doctors will be posted this year to the General Hospital of Luanda to practice general surgery, paediatrics, cardiology, neurology, orthopaedics, clinical analysis, acupuncture and pharmacy, Angop reports.
The Angolan news agency says the Chinese Ambassador to Angola Gong Tao and the Secretary of State for International Cooperation and Angola Communities Domingos Vieira Lopes signed on Wednesday an agreement to that effect.
The report quotes Mr Vieira Lopes as saying at the signing ceremony that the arrangement would help his country redress its paucity of medical specialists.
China has already posted 70 doctors to Angola, and they have attended to over 200,000 patients, the report says.
Over 60 doctors are still among the 260,000 or so Chinese working in Angola, Angop says.
