Angolan journalists to attend training workshop in China

The Chinese Embassy in Luanda says 10 Angolan journalists or officials of the Angolan Ministry of Foreign Affairs will attend a training workshop in China next week for members of the news media in the Portuguese-speaking Countries.

In a written statement, the embassy quotes Chinese Ambassador to Angola Cui Aimin as saying he hopes the workshop will teach the trainees more about society and culture in China, and how people there live.

Mr Cui said the trainees could actively contribute to the development of Sino-Angolan relations by reporting fairly and objectively on matters of interest to China and Angola, the Chinese Embassy in Luanda says.

The Chinese Ministry of Commerce and the Chinese State Administration of Radio and Television Research and Training Institute are jointly putting on the workshop in Beijing from August 9 to August 29, the ministry says.
