Angolan legislature to debate competition bill

The Angolan National Assembly will debate the competition bill in its next plenary session, now that its constitutional and legal affairs committee and its economy and finance committee have approved the legislation, Angop reports.

The Angolan news agency says the bill provides for arrangements to promote fair and healthy competition within the economy.

The report says the bill envisages the establishment of a regulatory authority, which would have the power to take to court those it accuses of breaking the law.
