Angolan urban dance festival comes to Beijing

The first Kizomba festival of Angolan urban dance to be held in China begins in Beijing today, Angop reports.

The Angolan state-run news agency, citing a written statement issued by the Angolan Embassy in Beijing, says the three-day festival will bring together hundreds of fans of Kizomba who are interested in learning the basic steps in lectures and workshops given by Angolan dancers Pedro Vieira Dias “Mestre Petchu” and Vanessa Ginga Pura.

Mestre Petchu told Angolan Ambassador to China João Salvador dos Santos Neto that the touring festival had been held in the Indian city of Mumbai and would be held later this month in the Japanese cities of Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka, Angop says.
