Beijing ready to boost support for agriculture in Guinea-Bissau

China will boost its support for agriculture in Guinea-Bissau, the Macauhub website reports.

China’s Ambassador to Guinea-Bissau Wang Hua made the comments at a reception for the 67th anniversary of the foundation of the People’s Republic of China.

The website says agricultural assistance would be expanded from Bafatá in the centre of the country to other regions.

Technical assistance would be provided as well as training to farmers, a group of whom are currently working in Hunan province, Mr Wang was reported to have said.

The countries have recently signed a three-year agreement for the mainland to deliver technical support in agriculture.
